It would be awsome but kinda hard to do. I mean what would be a reasonable plot, that held the same depth as the original? If there is a second movie/series, it wouldn't be as good as the first, or as powerful. Some things can only be done once. I think FMA is one of them. There will always be the memories and the DVD's to watch again and again. FMA is amasing. Let's not tarnish the reputation it has now with a sucky sequel. I kinda agree with you. That's what happened with Inuyasha. I don't want them doing, like 3 movies. That'd just ruin it. If they do make one that's good, then I'll be happy... Beacuse I don't want something stupid. ROYAI FOREVER!!!

Another way to look at it is this. At the end of episode 51, when Mustang and Hawkeye are in her apartment, Mustang mentions "nothing in this world is perfect, but that's why it's so damn beautiful." I think they wanted to make sure it wasn't a happy for everyone ending. I mean sure it wouldn't satisfy a lot of people who wanted to see characters meet up again and hook up, but making the end of it all bittersweet adds to the realistic quality that the series always had.

That's quite true. In real life we don't always get the lovely ending that comes in movies. And besides, if we want pairing affirmations, we can always turn to the manga . . . *huggles the people translating chapter 70*

I've searched for WEEKS about this little rumor and everything I've found has pointed to a big fat NO which leaves me with mixed feelings...

What would it be about? They're in our world now and we all know what it'd end up being right? Hour and a half of Royai-ness. Which I'm sure would please many of the people here but I dunno if they could make a movie about it o.o

to me it's just a weird idea. the movie was just too perfect to mess with. Leave it be and have fun making up your own little endings for all the characters. That's mostly why animators leave open endings in most animes,...they like to see what their fans think will happen to the characters as their "lives" go on.

There IS a new FMA project in pre-production stages in Japan at this time, however,so little info other than that fact has been made public and lack of info has spawned rumors of every kind in an effort to fill in blanks.
All we can do is wait and see.
edit for bad typing,I'm TIRED!!! ;D

I agree. though i'd love to see the royai and ed/winry pairing come true, it wouldn't be as good. like reading a book and then seeing the movie, it wouldn't be as good.
