*whew!!* I just spent the last three hours scouring the real world scenes of the FMA movie slow motion/frame by frame looking for Mustang's real world counterpart and I THINK I found him,and dang I almost missed it if I wasn't looking so hard! It's the scene where Ed and Noah arrive at the Inn where all the Nazi faithful have gathered.Then Officer Hughes and Thule guy arrive and Noah turns to leave and Hughes blocks Ed's way. On the INSTANT Ed says"Dammit Hughes this is no time for a lecture" freeze frame the scene right there.Look in the lower left-hand corner of the frame and there's a guy with longer brown hair sitting there wearing a jacket,white shirt and tie. He has Mustang's face under that brown hair. If ANYONE can get a good screen cap of that frame and post it here for all of us to see it and decide if that's him or not,PLEEEEEEEEESE do so! mist you continue to amaze me.

Hmm, there is a resemblance, true, but still, Roy is smexier Ahh, he still looks a little like Roy, but the frost alchemist already has his place in the movie, right? I mean, he IS in the little cottage in the winter... lol

Before I saw the movie, I thought that people on the other side of the gate were people who had died in Shamballa. But then, when I saw Gracia I was like "wtf? She didn't die!" But yeah, I wonder what Roy would have been... Probably a fireman. XD HAHAHAHAHAHA! He probably -would- have been a fireman! That's funny...didn't think about that one!

Roy could have been in a different country, but something else was bothering me about the movie...do you think Trisha passed on, if not where's her counter part? So that would have to mean if she didn't pass, then the counterparts just aren't where Ed was.

WOW,so much debate about all the characters here.....I LOVE IT!!! ;D I've been meaning to do this for a while but didn't because I seriously suck at paint,but that's all I had to work with.I colored the picture to see if it look any different,and the resemblance is still there,but as I said before,not all of the counterparts looked exactly like their original.(Rose/Noah,for example) Our sweet Original Roy is still smexier!!

Im so mad that they dont show Roy's alternate self in the FMA movie.I wonder what he would look like though! Would he be a scientist, or one of the actors for the movie producer. I realy realy hope though that he isn't a nazi!! You know, when I thought about this for fanfiction purposes, I honestly thought he would be a Nazi. Given Hughes's ties, he has to be. Maybe he's like some elite SS officer after a point, with so many regrets about what the Nazi regime has made him do? Just an idea...

Hey, look at the guy at the back of the bar wearing glasses with the stupid look on his face!! Forgive me for bringing up random weird characters that that guy looks like, but to me he looks like Lucion, the guy who cured that town with the stone Lust gave him...just a thought ^^;;

I think it looks like Roy.
But here is my theory:
Maybe Roy ended up in a time closer to the present, and Ed and Al run into him, and are actually older than him (reverse the Ed and Roy ages in the first part of the series). Just because a majority of the characters were there, doesn't mean they all are. My sister's friend wrote about finding the Alter-Winry, and having doubts, and thinking of the first Winry. There is no for sure way of telling where they were. Lyra was with alter-Bradley. (Remember Ed in the last few episodes in London?) Ed's alter-ego was in Britain) Maybe the gate IS real, and the alter-Roy is right in our midst, who knows....makes you question reality *oooo* MATRIX!
I was just thinking about this actually, and I was thinking of the whole Ed older, Roy younger kind of thing. Ed tormenting him, like "real" Roy in the Amestris. But yeah, that is just my opinion.
Did anything i just say make any sense?

Well, in the movie, Hughes and Gracia are just dating, so maybe Roy's alter self comes later on? It was just a thought.
Another fact, what if Roy Mustang was a Jew during WWII? I have been reading some books about the Holocaust in English, and the thought crossed my mind.
Even eerier. There were two blonde-headed Germans in the book that were kind to the prisoners and they were named Alphonse and Edward (didn't specify that they were brothers). I threw the book across the room and started getting freaked out@! No word of lie, this is the truth!
That is just my opinion.
