So, I was rereading some Manga and noticed that in Vol. 3 in the portion that correlates to episode 13, Roy flat out wins (there is not question, the fuhrer congratulates him). No flashback, no big drama (the lines aren't nearly as cool, I love the "too slow" line), just *snap* Roy wins.
Any other interesting random Manga difference that anyone has found (or wants to discuss)?

Well...after the chapter Greed kidnaps Al....everything is different.. ..lol. Lab 5 is totally different with Envy and Lust showing-up, and not Tucker, since Tucker was killed.

Well, yeah, and I like the divergent plot line better because 1)I have something to look forward to every month and **spoiler**
Roy still has both eyes. (I am a sucker for nice eyes. And Roy has nice eyes.)

My friend wouldn't send me the translated mangas, so I have to buy them as they come out in the 'states... Ah well. I like the way Greed comes back. Greed and Roy are my all-time favorite characters! (And I have Greed's VA on MySpace... ^^)

***cringes at thought of myspace*** (sorry, I like the concept of it, but I'm computer science and we do a lot with analyzing user interfaces and myspace...well...I'll stop now.
Kay-Chan, look up 'FMA Manga' in google. That should pull up an MSN group which has all the scanlated manga.

I have only been following the translated manga. Is it still continuing in Japan? Yep! It's still continuing in japan... Best part about the manga that owns the show? LING!! WHOOO!!~~ [Spoilerish] For those of you who read it online, it's got thousands of changes, there is no kiddy Wrath((Pride takes Wrath's name in the manga)) and there is no Ed/Al Mommy Sloth... And there's no homunculus named pride... It's a whole bunch of different things... Instead of Ed killing Greed, Wrath((aka Pride)) kills him or something... But yeah... [Spoilerish]

YAY MANGA! First off, link to the MSN Group with translated manga: groups.msn.com/FullMetalAlchemist/ Wow I haven't updated my stuff there in like....forever... ;; Anyway, Manga Differeces I've Noticed: (Must highlight to read cause of spoiler) - SPOILER:
One of my most favorite things about the manga as oppsosed to the anime is that it really starts going into depth with the characters' relationships. Unlike the anime, which leaves the yaoi fans skeptical about all the possiblities, the manga is pretty straightforward. It clearly shows that the kind of feelings Roy feels for Ed are the kind a father feels for his son. Even though they're coworkers and bicker constantly like cats and dogs, Roy still feels a fatherly protectiveness over him, which is made even more obvious in one of the novels.
It also starts going into depth how characters came to be and know eachother. Like in the most recent chapter you find out that Roy's alchemy sensei was Riza HAwkeye's own father! When he died, he left her with all his knowledge and she continued his work and taught Roy. You could say she's an Alchemist Squibb in a way (Harry Potter reference). She knows alchemy, but she doesn't practice it.
Also, Winry Rockbell plays more of an important role besides Ed's mechanic and the almight thrower-of-wrenches. It really goes into detail all of her pent up emotions about her fmaily, and Ed and Al. When she aimed the gun at Scar for killing her parents (another major difference between the manga and the anime) Ed actually cries over her and wills her to drop her gun and not shoot.
The manga also goes into detail about all of Amestris's conflicts and their situations with bordering countries. The manga also brings in new characters from the neighboring vountry Xing (equivalent to China most likely) which is way more advanced in technology and uses their knwledge of alchemy for medical purposes. Characters reigning from Zing include the Emperor's son, Ling, the warrior girl Ran Fan, and the fiesty little Mei-chan and her pet panda Xiao Mei. In later chapters these characters play an important role in the plot's developement (especially Ling) . So...uhm...yeah, a lot of differences. But it was at Arakawa's request that the anime be nearly completely different from the manga And she really loved the anime and the movie.

Yep, yay for more character exploration. And Riza is appearing to be greatly more important than she was in the anime. And there are so many more Royai scenes (love the covert conversation).

The best scenes are the "Barry Saga"
Come on man, who knew? Barry and Falman stuck together... That was beautiful... XD

I like the fact that Barry still wants to chop up everyone but is so in love with Riza that he will actually obey her when she says not to. And Roy getting all mad when he sees Barry clinging to Riza (and Barry calling him a punk). Haha.
