Hey,I got permission from Lady Ryo to post this,(thank you!)just because this was sooooooo cute it HAD to be posted. ;D
She and I were talking about her RP/Story she's writing and I gave her a good idea about Roy's son and we RP'd it in an IM and this is what came out.
It's a little scene between Roy and his 3 year old son Aden.
.......................................
Lady Ryo:
It was in the middle of a Saturday afternoon when a three year old Aden Mustang pocketed one of his father's gloves.
The toddler had watched his daddy quite a bit, knowing he could make flames just by wearing the gloves.
That was how Aden associated fire, through the gloves. Sure, he'd tried making fire with his own gloves, but it didn't work like his daddy's gloves.
Somehow, he knew that he needed the gloves his daddy wore in order for it to work.
With the glove in his pocket, he went in search of something to test it on, finding an unused candle in a cabinet.
With his new 'toys' he padded back towards his room to play with them, shutting the door behind him.
Mist On Fire:
Roy sat at his desk, muddling over paperwork.
He heard Aden rummaging and go back to his room and close the door.
He knew his son loved to play with random things in the house and didn't think anything was out of the ordinary and went back to reading.
Soon the phone rang and it was Riza calling him to come to the office for a meeting.
He got up to leave and found his gloves missing and started to search through the house for them
Lady Ryo:
Aden moved to the middle of his room, setting up the candle in the middle of his floor.
With a grin, he slipped the rather large glove onto his hand. It didn't quite fit, not at all.
But, try as he may, he attempted a snap. It made a small spark, catching the tip of the candle, but the candle doesn't ignite.
Frowning, the little boy adjusts the glove on his hand and tries again. But, once again, the candle doesn't ignite.
With a huff, he pulls the glove off and looks at it. Shaking his head, he tries one more time, and with a successful snap, the candle finally lit, filling the room with a nice, warm glow.
Mist On Fire:
Roy couldn't find his gloves anywhere.
Then he remembered Aden rummaging earlier and wondered if he might have taken them to his room to play.
Roy walked towards Adens door and heard nothing inside the childs room,it was too quiet.
He went to open the door.
Lady Ryo:
The boy sat there in front of the candle with it's pretty flame, glove in his hand, his fingers touching the transmutation circle.
He blinked a bit and noticed when he moved his hand, the flame followed. Giggling softly, he swirls his hand, making the flame circle the candle.
Mist On Fire:
Roy opens the door
Lady Ryo:
With wide eyes, he moves his hand down, making the circling flame circle around the entire base of the candle. Hearing the door open, he glances back with a wide grin.
Mist On Fire:
Roy steps inside the room and closes the door again behind him.
He smiles at his son and moves down to sit next to him.
He places his hand over Aden's and they move the flame together in a swirling circle.
Finally...Roy blows the candle out and lifts his son into his lap.
Roy says to his son,"when did you learn how to do that?"
Lady Ryo:
The little boy smiles up at his daddy, giggling softly. He points at the gloves, then touches his father's hand.
"Fire." he says softly, making his own fingers snap. "Daddy make fire." Then he points at himself. "Me make fire." He nods.
Mist On Fire:
"oh.so THAT"S how"
Lady Ryo:
Then, he grins again, all proud of himself.
Mist On Fire:
Roy laughed softly and hugged him."I'm very proud of you.But let's not tell your Mother okay? She'll be upset about fires in your room"
Roy picked up the candle and his gloves and set Aden down his bed
"you take a nap now.I have to go"
Lady Ryo:
Aden frowned. He didn't like it when he had to go.
But, when he looked up again, a fire sparked in his amber eyes. Eyes like his mother's. "Play later?"
Mist On Fire:
"Don't worry.I'll be back soon and we'll play some more.
In the meantime, don't touch these again.Understand?"
Lady Ryo:
He smiles and reaches out, wanting to hug him. "Yes Daddy."
Mist On Fire:
Roy leaned down and hugged him and pulled his blankets up over him.
He kissed him gently on the forehead as he tucked him in for a nap.
"Sleep now"
Lady Ryo:
"Mm.. okay.." He smiled and curled onto his side. "Night, Daddy.." even though it was still afternoon.
Mist On Fire:
Roy pulled the curtain closed and left the room, quietly closing the door.
He couldn't help smiling as left the house
Lady Ryo: ((^_^))
Mist On Fire: ((end it here?))
Lady Ryo: (( Any more to add? ))
Mist On Fire: ((nope))
Lady Ryo: (( lol ending scene then.))
Mist On Fire: to be continued......
Lady Ryo: Such cuteness
Mist On Fire : yeah
Mist On Fire : I love it
