She was having trouble keeping a straight face during Major Armstrongs demonstration. She put her hand over her eyes and rubbed her temples. 'This is going to be a looong mission.'she thought to herself. She had just stopped caring about what others do and was for the most part always calm. She regained her composure and said. "I am the shadow assasin alchemist wherever there is a shadow i can manupulate it to whatever i see that is needed in the situation." She said kind of quietly she didn't want the other groups to hear them speaking not that it mattered now that the lt colonel had given such a demonstration. She still didnt want them to hear what at least she did and was watching her surroundings intensly. "So what can the rest of you do?" she asked still watching the surroundings instead of her subordinates.

Overkill much? she thought to herself. "My title is the SunFire Alchemist. I'd offer to do a demonstration, but I don't think anyone is in the mood to be taken to the infirmary right off the bat." She said calmly. She had always wondered why she was the "SunFire" Alchemist, instead of a name that would've been more fitting...Smiling a little, she glanced at Major Jingles.

Canine carefully stood up from her seat confidently, in front of her teammates and commanding officer. Colonel Canine: Pleasure, Major Elric. I look forward to working with you. She turned to the newcomer in the room and saluted. Colonel Canine: Colonel Elf, pleasure to meet you as well. She finally began to explain. Colonel Canine: My name is Colonel Jenna Canine, and also closely known as the Canine Alchemist. I had recieved my State alchemist name due to my immense familiarity with heightened senses. My type of alchemy allows me to assume a canine-like persona, and I'm able to track down certain things, depending on scent, and things like that. I can sift out scents, and easily track down anything. I am well trained, and would probably do best on an investigations unit. She sighed, and sat down once more, eyeing the people in the room nervously. Elf raised an eyebrow at her teammate's abilities... she was impressed! She could already tell she'd like Canine. Besides... a tracker could come in mighty handy... especially since she herself probably couldn't find shoes in a shoe box! That... and she loved dogs. ^-^ she laughed slightly to herself, smiling at Canine. She remained standing waiting for someone else to speak. Ed sat in his seat and reviwed what Colonel Canine had just said. Ed-"Strange talents for an alchemist, are you sure you're not a chimera?" Mustang frowned at the comment. B.G.Mustang-"There will be no talk like that in here,Ed.No matter what you think of their abilities, you will respect them and remember they still outrank you." Ed-"Sorry sir. What about Colonel Elf? What can she do?" Ed sat back with his arms crossed waiting for the next explaination. ------------------------------------------------------------- General Mist On Fire lingered quietly with her group, saying nothing. She was watching Major Mamoru with interest though and thought to herself he might be a problem. She saw the man steal the soldier's money from his pocket and made a mental note to keep a close eye on him.She waited for Brigadier General Nate to get the briefing of the game itself underway and stop thinking about food.

Brig. Gen. Nate set another food tray atop a quickly growing pile of similar trays, plates, and bowls. After his tray pile reached nearly epic proportions, he decided to call a busboy over and take care of the mess. He raised a gloved fist, and a young boy of about 13 came over and, with a dismayed look on his face, took away the pile of trays that was taller than he was. Nate turned his gaze over to General Mist on Fire and saw she appeared troubled. Turning his eyes to where she was staring, he saw the Major take the soldier's money. However, his mind quickly turned to something much more important as he saw the canteen slowly become emptier and emptier, compelling him to dig into his pocket and look for his watch. His first attempts resulted in his wallet, some pocket fuzz, a black clot glove, and a small stuffed bear. These objects garnered some odd looks from the soldiers around him, but he soon found his pocket watch and saw that he didn't have time left to wait for Major Duck. Nate frantically stuffed his belongings into his pocket and grabbed 2 rolls of bread form the table and stuffed them into the messenger's bag at his side. With a rushed look on his face, he said "Sorry troops, I must be off. I have a date in 10 minutes! The two of you are dismissed for now, but we'll be meeting again here-" the General dropped a small scrap of paper he had scribbled rather hastily on as he was speaking. "Be there at 1800 hours, if you will." He gave a hasty salute and was off, leaving Mjr. Mamoru and Gen. Mist on Fire to read the address he had written: "10th Street Bar/108 10th Street, next to the Pantageus Opera house." Nate's secretary appeared as the two were looking at the address on the small scrip of paper before them. She looked at the address and commented "Brig. Gen. Nate is always going there... I wouldn't be surprised if he made that place his HQ for the exercise."

I realize it is strange for one to have such abilities...I inherited them from my father. No need to be on edge, sir. Canine sighed at Ed's comment and slunk back in her chair, also eyeing Col. Elf, and anticipated what her abilities were.

Canine sighed at Ed's comment and slunk back in her chair, also eyeing Col. Elf, and anticipated what her abilities were. Elf looked at the other alchemists in the room and smiled. 'Note to self,' she thought quickly, 'don't call Col. Canine a chimera.' Elf pondered briefly why she hadn't decided to sit down, shrugged it off, and then offered her commrads the explanation of her abilities. "Well, sirs, to be honest, I dabble in several alchemic fields. It's the reason I was dubbed the Dexterity Alchemist. I can do basic medical transmutations, a little flame alchemy, though not near as potent or controlled as yours, Brig. General. I can only really light things on fire, like... candles and campfires. I've touched on herbalism as well." Here, Elf had to laugh slightly at herself, remembering the desimated patch in the back of her old house that was supposed to be a garden. "Though I have to say, I don't have much of a green thumb. I can copy most transmutations, but only after it's been shown to me three or four times," she continued. "My speciality though, is metal working." Elf held up a hand, palm facing her, so that her teamates could see the array on the back of her black, fingerless gloves. It was embroidered with silver thread. "This array allows me to draw metals out of any substance that contains it, like from the minerals in the earth, and minipulate it. The gloves themselves are actually woven with thin, flexible wires... but when I wish to..." Elf activated the array, transmuting the wire from the glove to wrap around her fingers and form claws that extended for about an inch from her finger tips. She had been sure to wrap it so tightly that it was as sturdy as any knife. "I can give myself a handy weapon," she finished, returning the glove to normal and then clasped her hands behind her back. "That's pretty much it, sirs," she said, still smiling joyfully.

General Mustang, and Major Elric, looking for another word from either of them. Mustang sat back and clasped his hands together, resting them on his desk. B.G.Mustang.-"Impressive.I must say this will be interesting." He picked up the case file on his desk and opened it.Then he continued. B.G.Mustang-"The goal of this excersise is teamwork,as you already know.Your mission will be to locate the flag markers hidden in designated search areas around the outskirts of Central. Some will be in view, others well hidden. You must use your skills to locate those which are hidden from plain view and they can be contained in anything. You have a limited amount of time to retrieve as many as possible.Once located, collect them and return them to me when your time is up. The slum of Kishua is off limits,no markers have been placed there so there's no need to enter it.If you encounter any trouble not related to this excersise, report it to me immediately. We start tomorrow morning, meet outside the building here at 0700.If you have any questions, ask now.If not,you are all dismissed" Ed-"None from me,I'm ready." Ed stood and saluted to Mustang and his teamates and left the room. Mustang looked to his two remaining guests and waited for their answer.

Canine: Yes sir. I have a question. This is a competition right? If there are others competing, would we need to avoid those on the opposing team?
EDIT: (forgot to quote...)

Canine stood up abruptly and saluted. Canine: Yes sir! Elf saluted as well. This was going to be fun. She was a little curious about the slums being off limits but decided it was a stupid question and didn't ask. "I understand, sir, no questions here... the Colonel covered mine," she answered. She smiled to Canine, saluted once more and then left the room to head to her dorm. She was eager to get started... just so long as she remembered to set her alarm this time.

Major Jingles popped back through the door to the meeting room with a bunch of confetti dangling from her hair. She smoothed out her uniform and did a salute, telling her own little profile.
"I am Major Jingles, The Moxie Alchemist. Some say my alchemy is quite silly, but I'm not fully on my rocker myself! My goal is to bring joy to all the little boys and girls, and the real reason I joined this army is because a dear friend of my put her gun to my head and ordered me to."

Walking through the long hallways, Canine also went to her room, as she fiddled with the lock, and then pushed the door open. She exhaled a breath and collapsed on her bed, smiling. 'This is going to be interesting...I can't wait to see everyone's skills.'

A knock came at the door of Brigadier General Mustang's office. Oh...I hope I not too late in returning from my outpost up north... Upon hearing no responce from the inside a young girl let herself into Mustang's office. She was wearing her uniform from her former outpost in the north. It seemed counter-intutive, the uniform including a miniskirt in the frigid cold weather up there. Her hair was pulled back into a bun, a few bangs hanging in her face. She walked to Mustang's desk and saluted him, her childish smile vanishing and replaced with a serious expression the instant her hand met her forehead.
"Excuse me? Brigadier General Mustang? Pleased to meet you, I'm Colonel Hawkbelle. I apologize for my lateness. I'm hoping that you recieved my message regarding my mission in the north."
