You need to contact the Division leader for the con first or General Alley before contacting Travis on his myspace. If no plans are set solid yet,you really shouldn't do anything without the Division Leaders okay first. It's THAT person's responsibility to make plans, set up the meetups and make contact. okay?

I was curious as to what we might do at Oni-con.... If it isn't too brash to impose a suggestion of a good, hearty round of dodgeball and a Ranger/Skirt meet-up, then you have my two cents. I look forward to seeing what it is that we cook up for this con and, if need be, I'll be more than happy to help out with any planning, just drop me a line with some details and I'll see what I can do.

...Rockin.
So who's the Division leader for Oni-con? or does it go by state, or city?
Just askin' for the details now, so I don't have to scower for them later when I'm really in need of them.
I mean, there are a few things that I know should happen.
Dodge ball, of course, and a Ranger/Skirt dinner. So... you know, whom ever is willing to help, drop me a line.

Offhanded note-- (I just learned that I'm skipping a football game to attend this... not to mention it's Texas State's homecoming game....)
Anywho...
I do hope we can lift something off the ground for this convention, it'd be a shame to let it all just fall through. Maybe we can do some kind of DDR challenge, I always imagined that it would be rather interesting.

...You actually... well Iguess you'd ahve to wouldn't you? ; Eww.. football. >_<; Eww homecoming. I'm glad I avoided all that during my last three years of Highschool. Those things gave me headaches... and I bet college ones are so much more worse.

...anyways... Risembool Ranger and Miniskirt Army EventsDINNERThe Dinner will be at Kim Phung on Friday October 19th, 2007 @ 7pm to 9pm. We will be meeting in front of the HOTEL at 6pm. Dinner Rules and Guidelines- 1: Key Word: RSVP.
Due to things like, reservations numbers, these events are by RSVP only. I'm sorry, it's how it's gonna to be done. You must HAVE this conformation pm (meaning you'll need to print it out) -- upon that time you will find one of us during the con (we'll describe ourselves, so we're easily found -- for example: I will be either in the Security shirt with the badge name 'Puritysan' or in a Loli!Ash Ketchum costume). We will be creating badges, so I know specifically who's RSVP'd with me or Pyro. Those who have gotten a badge, agreed to any of the following items planned: what restaurant, how much the need to provide, etc.
I'VE JUST MADE THINGS TEN TIMES EASIER!!!!!!!
Fill out the following info here:
creator.zoho.com/puritysan/event-sign-up/form/1/
Also, if you could, please PM ME a cell/phone number that you are most reachable.
I will email you back with conformation, you MUST bring a copy of the email with you!!! I will be checking names on the first day of the con, if you are on the list I will give you a Ranger badge to wear with your con badge to let me know and all of the rest know that you HAVE rsvped with me.
THE BADGE MUST BE SEEN AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT.
If you or you're guests don't have the badge you don't get in, simple as that. We have restricted numbers, and having people LIE that they've RSVPed because they want to include they're self in just because Vic is there. I won't have it. It won't happen.
NO word of Mouth
I don't need Ikkicon to happen all over again. People showed up that had heard about the dinner from other people and tried to get in when we had contacted everyone is every way necessary, through the forms, and the yahoo group. So please, don't 'spread the word' about the dinner. Our numbers are set, that's all we're taking, sorry.
Guests
In addition to the Rangers who RSVPed. Any one of those rangers can have up to TWO guests. You MUST inform me on who these guests are. They also must agree to the items planned, meaning, YES, they DO have to pay their own way, if they're coming to the dinner, that is; or you, whatever floats your boat. They will also have their own badges saying who they are and who they're with.
- 2: Hostilities.
We're trying to make this as enjoyable as possible, no-one shall give anyone ANY attitude. We're Rangers, we just don't DO that. So if you get turned down because you forgot to rsvp, and just HAPPENED to see this thread, or hear about it being talked about during the con, I'm sorry. But we won't be able to fit you in.
- 3: Getting there
We will designate a spot for everyone to meet up at when the time comes for the dinner. Please do not try to get a head start on us. We would like to try to get every one there at once. We will more than likely also be taking the hotel shuttle to the restaurant. So again, please don't go ahead.
- 4: Seating
When there is a seating order stated -- it is asked that you please follow it. At Ikkicon, a order of seating was sent out, the specific order in which everyone was to be seated, and, with the exception of Vic and Wendy, everyone completely disregarded it. So, to remedy this, a seating chart will be made. If you don't like where you are sitting, Sorry! You should have specified a certain spot when you sent in your email.
Order of seating:
GOH>Planners of the dinner>Rangers>Parents>and so on.
This is so there is organization and calm and maybe it will keep fights from breaking out.
- 5: Working at the Con?
If you are volunteering at the con, please let us know your schedule so we know where you will be when it comes time for dinner and the room party. If you are adamant about attending the events, but have a conflicting time in your work schedule, please contact your staff head so you can discuss working at a different time. We will schedule according to schedules. DODGEBALL SHOWDOWNThe Red vs. Blue---- erm, I mean, RANGER VS SKIRT Dodgeball showdown of Oni-Con 2007 shall be held on Saturday October 20th, 2007 in the courtyard in front of the hotel starting at noon and ending at 3. . Dodgeballs will be provided.
Skirts are to wear a blue bandana on their head or fore arm. Rangers are to wear a red bandana on their head or fore arm. These will be provided.
Dodgeball spots open:
Rangers: 3 Skirts: 9
Neutral: 4 (total)
SIGN UP!!!Rules1: THE TEAMTeams will be made up of 6-10 players. Six(6) players will compete on a side; others will be available as substitutes. Substitutes may enter the game only during timeouts or in the case of injury. 2: THE FIELDThe game will be played outdoors. The playing field shall be a rectangle divided into two (2) equal sections by a center-line and attack-lines 3m from, and parallel to the centerline. 3: THE EQUIPMENTThe official ball used in play will be an 8" rubber-coated foam ball. 4: THE GAMEThe object of the game is to eliminate all opposing players by getting them "OUT". This may be done by: 1. Hitting an opposing player with a LIVE thrown ball below the shoulders. 2. Catching a LIVE ball thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground. Definition: LIVE: A ball that has been thrown and has not touched anything, including the floor/ground, another ball, another player, official or other item outside of the playing field (wall, ceiling, etc) 5: BOUNDARIESDuring play, all players must remain within the boundary lines. Players may leave the boundaries through their end-line only to retrieve stray balls. They must also return through their end-line. 6: THE OPENING RUSHGame begins by placing the dodgeballs along the center line – three (3) on one side of the center hash and three (3) on the other. Players then take a position behind their end line. Following a signal by the official, teams may approach the centerline to retrieve the balls. This signal officially starts the contest. Teams may only retrieve the three (3) balls to their right of the center hash. Once a ball is retrieved it must be taken behind the attack-line before it can be legally thrown. 7: TIMING AND WINNING A GAMEThe first team to legally eliminate all opposing players will be declared the winner. The team with the greater number of players remaining will be declared the winner. In the case of an equal number of players remaining after regulation, sudden-death period will be played. 8: TIME-OUTS & SUBSTITUTIONSEach team will be allowed one (1) 30 second timeout per game. At this time a team may substitute players into the game. Register for the game here: creator.zoho.com/puritysan/dodgeball-registration/view/2/Changes are bound to happen. <3
