Gently folding up the green flag, Major Jingles paused, slowly turning around, hearing little scratches upon the stone and rough floor. Pulling up her sleeve, revealing her bell-bracelet, she slipped the rolled up fabric between the bracelet and her arm, the flag disappearing like a magic trick the further it was shoved up. Then, she leapt up, grasping onto the ceiling by making hand holds with her alchemy and attempted to hide in the shadows, waiting for whatever was approaching to get closer, highly impatiently I might add. Armstrong heard the scratches about the same time Jingles did. It was hard not to, as they echoed and reverberated off of the walls of the tunnel. Turning forward to face the direction of the possibly new threat, Armstrong asked Jingles "Did you hear that?" After a moment's silence, he turned around and saw Jingles was missing from the spot she was in earlier. A look of confusion crossed the Major's face until he remembered something he learned in Ishbal- If they're not in front of or below you, they're above you.He looked up and saw the energetic Major grasping the wall, the area around her palms glowing from the alchemic reaction she used to stick onto the wall. A fierce and savage grin crossed her face, but behind it, Armstrong saw even fiercer impatience. Turning back to face his original direction, Armstrong shifted his weight to his back leg and entered a fighting posture. Probably best if I don't use my alchemy here... Armstrong, however, was positive that, whatever was coming their way would have to deal with him. And no living creature that knew about Armstrong's abilities wanted to do that. "Alright, Armstrong-san!" Jingles whispered sharply, "When it appears, you distract it and I'll jump it. Then we'll take it out together alright?" The Major shifted her weight, hanging off the ceiling, even with alchemy, wasn't the more comfortable thing in the world.

They seemed ready to attack but she guessed that was from the noise the tracker bug was making. "Attack me and ill demote you." She said stopping before getting too close. Then she continued to get closer to them. "You should of stayed with the group." She said sending the creature back into the shadow it came from. "Well it dosent matter now did you find a flag?" she asked sighing.

The General continued running down the hallway and saw the Major and Jingles coming into view. Armstrong saw the creature coming out of the shadow and raised his fist to strike, but upon hearing the General's words, he lowered his raised fist. The group's reunion in the tunnel caused Armstrong's emotions to get the best of him; he flexed his muscles to prep for his outburst, and cried out "GENERAL! MAJOR JINGLES AND I HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN OUR SEARCH FOR SUCH A FLAG! BEHOLD, THE FLAG!" He nabbed it from Major Jingle's sleeve and held it in front of him. The tiny flag fluttered in the disturbance Armstrong's voice caused. But the flag wasn't the only thing that Armstrong's voice disturbed: the tunnel began to shake somewhat, and tiny pieces of rock and mortar tumbled loose from the top of the arch and the surrounding walls. Thinking quickly, Armstrong remembered they were in a sewer tunnel beneath the city. He slipped on his spiked metal gloves and pulled back his fist. "You might want to cover your head!" he cried, as he thrust the spiked fist skyward. It met the apex of the arch and pushed it upwards. Realizing his strength alone would not get the group out of trouble, he activated the alchemic circle on his gloves, causing yellow bolts of energy to shoot out from the area where he struck the arch. Armstrong concentrated, and, having a burst of inspiration, cried out "NOW OBSERVE THE ARTISTIC ALCHEMY PASSED DOWN THE ARMSTRONG LINE FOR GENERATIONS!" He added a little extra push as the alchemical reaction increased and reached a deafening crescendo, until it finally climaxed with a slight "boom" and a few more pieces of tunnel falling earthward. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Above the tunnel in front of Lab 5, Nate felt a soft rumbling beneath his feet, emanating from 2 streets down. He abandoned the group and ran towards the epicenter of the rumbling, and found bolts of light emanating from a hole in the center of the ground. The people around the epicenter of it all scattered in every direction in a general panic. The Homonculi? Nate unslung his rifle and fell into a crouch. He lined up the sights and aimed towards the center of all the action. It was about that time that Armstrong's artistic alchemy manifested itself, and a huge flower of mortar and rock popped out of the ground. The energy from the explosion threw Nate back into a nearby fruit stand. He was immediately on his feet, rushing to the new addition to one of Central's streets. Nate had just got to the rose when a petal burst forth amidst a low, bass grunt and another light show of yellow bolts. The Brigadier General let out a yell as the rose petal pushed him back into the same fruit stand, making a mess of his uniform. From the tumult emerged Armstrong, stars in his teary eyes and sparkles orbiting his shirtless body. "Well, glad to see we got out of THAT mess!" he chortled. But Armstrong saw a twitching arm sticking out of a mess of fruit mash and crushed stone. He rushed up to the scene and pulled a half-conscious Brigadier General out of the mess. "Fruit tart? I think I'll have some water with that," Nate mumbled. Armstrong shook the dazed Nate a bit, telling him to "Wake up, soldier!" When Nate finally did, he shook his head and was greeted to a gigantic, sparkly, shirtless man. He screamed, half terror, half surprise, and jumped back, only to hit the wall and have a stray watermelon fall off its stand and hit him on the head. He straggled up and was caught by Armstrong. Nate then woke up and realized just who exactly that sparkly and shirtless giant was. He also realized his uniform was a fruity-scented mess, but that didn't bother him too much. "Ah, Major Armstrong! We've been waiting for you and your group. If you would be so kind as to gather with your group leader and bring everyone up here, so I may lead you to Lab 5?" Armstrong replied with a stiff salute and a crisp "Yes, sir!" and ran back to the street with a new addition to it. He cried down the opening for the rest of the team to come up and put a hand down to help whoever grasped it out of the hole.

Major Jingles heard Armstrong's shouts and popped out of the rubble, like a daisy. Shaking her head furiously, dust blew out of her hair and over her already blanketed uniform. She stood up and ran towards Armstrong, continuously shaking her hair.
"Good work, Armstrong-san!" she gave him a thumbs up and a giant grin. Only afterwords did she notice Nate, "What's goin' on?"

The general had noticed two from her group were missing. "Where did Armstrong and Jingles go?" she asked randomly. She started walking forward to see if that had gone a bit ahead. *sigh* "Why did they go off ahead we are supposed to stay in a group and its not like we can keep contact by yelling because that would cause a cavein." She thought for a few moments then used her alchemy to make a small creature. "Can you find the rest of the group listen for the sound of bells." The creature then ran off and she followed. "Follow me." she said walking. Den nodded, looking around warily as she followed her CO. "This place gives me the creeps..." She wasn't paying much attention to where her CO was, and soon realized she had gotten separated. "...oh crap..." Not only separated...but lost as well. “…CRAP!” She wandered about, hugging the wall, until a sharp pain hit her. “owww! Aww…not now…cramp…ow…” Den decided her best course of action would be to head for HQ, and hope that she only got demoted one rank. “According to the instructions they were given, General Emoghostskirt’s group was starting at the Library. We should look there first.” With that, Falman headed for the door.

"Right." Havoc replied, following after Falman. He was used to being the driver, so he walked slightly ahead of the gray haired man and made his way over to the garage, where he picked a car and sat in the driver's seat. "Hop in, guys. Next stop, Central Library. " He turned the engine over and revved the engine.

Nate grinded his teeth. Cr*p, he's right. He yelled out "Yes, sir!" and entered into a stiff salute. Nate straightened out his uniform and gear, then ran like a man with a demon on his heels to Lab 5. But that statement would be incorrect. He had Mustang on his case, which is much worse.

Mustang pointed the way back to Team two where he had just deployed Falman and Havoc all the while resisting the urge to slip his flame gloves on and fry Nate instead.

Hearing this, Nate immediately turned tail and ran the other way. Running towards a PO'd General was not Nate's idea of fun, and a permanent desk job sounded even worse. "HOW THE HELL DID I MISHEAR THE GENERAL?!" Nate screamed into the sky. Tears of fear flowed down his face. And why shouldn't they? Nate ran in a small circle out of sheer terror for a second before he regained his wits and ran in the general direction of Armstrong's group. He bumped into Major Jingles and fell down on his bum. Armstrong picked up the sorry Brigadier General by the collar and suspended him there. A half-dead, half-sorry-beyond-belief look crossed Nate's face. A steady flow of tears came from his eyes, and his mouth was a barely discernible opening in his face from which soft whimpering exited. Armstrong held on to the mess of a general and told Mustang "I'll watch him for you, Brigadier General. Once the rest of my group gets up here, we'll make our way to the lab faster than immediately."

"Major Jingles, Major Armstrong we have to go meet up with the others before they get lost and i guess Brig. Gen. Nate is coming with us as well? Oh well whatever just dont fall behind! If i have to look for you Nate or if I have to find either of you two (*pointing to Jingles and Armstrong*) again then somebody is sure to get in a lot of trouble and it will slow us down a lot. Got it?....Good." she said not waiting for an answer because she thought they should know they would be in trouble if they fell behind. She then used her alchemy to make a tracker to find Den and Lt. Hawkeye. "Lets go." she said starting to walk forward.

Major Jingles looked back and forth frantically at General Emoghostskirt and Nate, feeling quite worried herself. Nodding her head confidently, she came to Nate's side, a sympathetic look on her young face. "Are you alright?" A glance towards Armstrong for a slight hin Nate unslung his rifle and said "We'd better get going. There's a shortcut to the lab through a cafe here." He opened the door of an unsuspecting building and ran in, Armstrong towering behind him. Nate waved hello to the man behind the counter before weaving his way through the dense crowd of chairs and bodies, muttering many an "Excuse me" and "Pardon me!" Armstrong didn't bother with weaving through the crowd; his size allowed him to barrel through, which he did, disrupting many people enjoying a pleasant snack. Once the duo reached the back door, Nate flung it open and made a sharp turn left in the alley towards Lab 5. Armstrong followed suit, and the pair soon found the massive walls surrounding Lab 5 in front of them. They joined up with the group already assembled in front of the lab and waited for Falman and Havoc to arrive. Elf stood dumbly outside of the entrance to Lab 5, unsure of what to do. Mustang hadn't told her to follow him after Nate had run off, so she'd remained stationed at the door. The other members of her team looked calm enough, even with lights and commotion comming up from somewhere. Elf was certain she'd heard a booming voice comming from the same area. Still, she fought her curiosity to go investigate... feeling somewhat duty bound to keep her spot. She was fairly certain that the B.G. would be returning.... she hoped. That dark hallway was making her uneasy and she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Feeling slightly unnerved, Elf activated the alchemy in her gloves, forming claws on both of her hands. There... that made her feel a little better... a little. Elf turned to look back the way Nate and Mustang had run off, but then thought better of putting her back to the darkness. Instead she leaned against the wall just beside the door, crossed her arms and waited.... for what she hoped wouldn't be too long.... for her C.O. to return.

((let me know if I should modify this Major)) His small beedle-like eyes stared at the soldier in front of him, chewing slightly on his finger for comfort. His small brain tried to remember what Lust said, about not letting them know that he and the other homunculi were in Lab 5 yet. Then again, the soldier had made claws on her arms and with the adrenaline rushing through her veins, his stomach was ready to growl. He fought back, he must continue to watch, just watch... watch...

Major Jingles looked back and forth frantically at General Emoghostskirt and Nate, feeling quite worried herself. Nodding her head confidently, she came to Nate's side, a sympathetic look on her young face. "Are you alright?" A glance towards Armstrong for a slight hint. Nate's head bobbed up and down with Armstrong's heavy stomping. Soft and incoherent mumbling left his agape mouth, as did a tiny bit of drool. His eyes stared out into blank emptiness until he heard Jingle's concerned query. It was at that moment that a spark re-lit his mind, causing his eyes to open wide in the shock from this sudden change of mental state. Nate flailed his arms around like a baby figuring out how to move his appendages for the first time. Armstrong noticed this sudden movement and dropped Nate like a hot sheet of metal. The stunned general lay on the floor for a short while, Armstrong pausing to hover over the prone form on the street floor. But Nate jumped up after a second, fixed his hair, and replied "Just fine. Let's get moving!" With that, Nate ran off towards Gen. Emoghostskirt. Armstrong was wide-eyed and stunned for the briefest of moments after this sudden change from a zombie-like state back into a fully functioning member of the Amestrian military. When he recovered, Armstrong began his swift jog after the higher-ranked general while crying to Nate in a booming voice, "Splendid, Brigadier General! I have no doubt that with the skills of our team and my artistic alchemy, Lt. Hawkeye and Lt. Col. Den will have nothing to worry about!"
